A group of papers relating to Ezra Allen of Holland, Massachusetts, including copies of his will (dated 1864), part of the will of his daughter Mary C. Charles, some genealogical information, and color photos of Federal period furniture which descended in the family. There is also information about John Carlile, a cabinetmaker in Providence, Rhode Island, and information about related pieces of furniture.

Ezra Allen was a yeoman in Holland, Hampden County, Massachusetts. His first wife was Mary Marcy Needham (1781-1812), and his second wife was the widow Lucena Loring Fuller (1783-1873). His sons were Joseph and Harrison and his daughters were Mary Carlile Allen Charles (wife of Truman Charles) and Roxana Allen Stone (wife of Joseph Stone).
